It was a busy summer for us at The Eco Floor Store. Not only have we been working on some very exciting projects (stay tuned!), but we’ve been immersed in 3-months of online and hands-on training to become a nationally recognized Professional Flooring Inspector with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).
Yup, that’s right. We take what we do seriously!
One of our guiding principles has always been to make sure our showroom only carries quality and sustainable products. Furthering our education to gain a greater understanding of our products, specifically our large selection of wood products, allows us to make sure we only offer our clients high-quality wood solutions and exceptional installation services.
In the past 3-months, we’ve travelled far and wide – and that explains why our showroom has been closed intermittently over the summer. The 150+ hours of hands-on training has taken us to Delta, BC, Marietta, GA, and St. Louis, MO. And we’ve taken over 100 hours of online courses!
From topics such as Responsible Wood Sourcing to Handscraping Techniques, Basic and Intermediate Sand and Refinishing to Inspector School, it’s been quite the journey. We have learned so much and we can’t wait to share our knowledge with our clients.
