Go Beyond the Surface: December 2015

Projects of Christmas Past

The Eco Floor Store, Surrey Showroom,

A Look at Some of our Favourite Projects

It’s been another fabulous year thanks to our wonderful clients.

Whether we’re working with homeowners, interior designers or builders, it’s always a pleasure seeing spaces transformed by our eco-friendly surfaces! We thought we’d share some of our favourite projects from this past year. It wasn’t an easy task, but here are a few that stand out.

District Main in Vancouver

One of the trends we noticed this year was the use of multiple wall surfaces in one space. Interior designers didn’t shy away from combining different materials and colours to create stunning spaces.

District Main Vancouver Lobby Lounge

One of those memorable spaces is the lobby lounge at the District Main Residences. Designed to be a multi-functional space for residents, we installed three of our wall surfaces: reclaimed barn wood wall tiles, Stikwood and recycled newsprint wallpaper.

Outdoor Playground in West Vancouver

While we may not have had the opportunity to play in this private playground, we had a lot of fun helping VictorEric Design create a fun outdoor space for the homeowner’s children.

Dinoflex-NuVista-Outdoor-Recycled-Rubber-Tiles-West-Vancouver

We installed Dinoflex NuVista tiles for this outdoor playground. We hope it was a well-used area of the home this past summer!

Love It or List It Vancouver

It’s pretty much guaranteed that any time we do a project with celebrity interior designer Jillian Harris it will make our favourites list – her projects are always so stunning!

Love It or List It Vancouver, Flexible Stone Veneer

On our third appearance of the W Network’s hit TV show Love It or List It Vancouver, we supplied and installed our flexible stone veneer to help completely transform a living room. The before and after photos of this home don’t even look like the same home – incredible.

Birkenstock Store Signage in Singapore

2015 was the year of signage! We worked with many retailers to help supply wall surfaces that they used as a backdrop to their corporate logo. One of our favourites is the very smart design for Birkenstock in Singapore.

Cork Feature Wall at Berkenstock

We supplied outside burl cork wall tiles. Not only does the material draw attention to the cork used in the soles of the famous footwear, but it also provides acoustical benefits for a comfortable shopping experience.

BC Hydro Power Smart Dream Home

Featured at the Vancouver Home + Design Show, the BC Hydro Power Smart Dream Home is another example of an interior design team that likes to pack a lot of punch in every space.

Beehive Cork Wall Surface in Turquoise

Featuring four of our eco-friendly walls surfaces – classicBRICK, Stikwood, beehive cork tiles and a moss wall – this small home is a great example of why it works to combine surfaces. (Because it looks awesome!)

Wool Carpets in Vancouver

This year, we had the pleasure to supply and/or install hundreds of thousands of square feet of flooring for residential and commercial projects throughout the Lower Mainland and beyond.

TELUS Garden, Vancouver

We’ve worked on some tiny projects and some very (very!) big ones. For the LEED Platinum certified TELUS Garden in Vancouver, we supplied over 100,000 sq. ft. of eco-friendly wool carpets. Wow!!
