District Main: One Space, Three Surfaces

The District Main Residences is one of Vancouver’s newest boutique rental building. Located in one of the city’s hottest neighbourhoods, District Main by Kevington Building Corp features two mixed-used buildings that combine retail spaces, luxury rentals and residential units.

The Lobby Lounge at District Main is available to residents to rent for parties and it’s designed to impress! Designed by J & R Katz Design + Architecture Inc, the space includes a wine cabinet, a communal table, comfortable seating and many television screens. The Eco Floor Store supplied and installed three different wall surfaces for the space: barn wood wall tiles, Stikwood and newsprint wallpaper.

Reclaimed Barn Wood Wall Tiles

Made with 100 year old barn wood salvaged from old barns in the United States, the reclaimed barn wood feature wall at District Main features 100 sq.ft. of 2″ x 2″ tiles in “avery”.

The Lobby Lounge also features over 500 sq.ft. of Stikwood in “natural” on three different walls. The Peel + Stick Wood Wall Tiles are made from reclaimed snow fences in the United States.

The third wall surface is recycled newsprint wallpaper. We installed over 300 sq.ft. of the colour “gold” on two walls, including a large wall at the entrance of the lounge and the small space surrounding the elevator door.
