We love a challenging project!
The Eco Floor Store was given the task of completely updating a small cottage in Cultus Lake. Although the cottage was built in 2007, the space was in desperate need of updating.
We selected the colour scheme and materials, built some custom furniture and then installed everything. The space instantly went from drab and uninviting to modern and homey. Here are some before and after photos:
In the kitchen, we replaced the cabinets and countertop. The cabinets are from IKEA’s new SEKTION line; the lower cabinets are Bodbyn Grey and the upper cabinets are Bodbyn Off White. The counters are from Formica 180 fx in Calcutta Marble. Our favourite part of the kitchen is the gorgeous farmhouse sink with an elegant gooseneck tap and white porcelain handles.
The feature wall in the living room was transformed with easy to install, peel + stick wood by Stikwood in White Wash.
We painted the walls of the cottage with Benjamin Moore’s Harbour Grey and decked out the floors with a durable vinyl 9″ wide plank flooring in Lucca Pine.
And to finish off the project, we built a small side table. Painted in off white, we then sanded a few corners to give it that well-used look.
