The Eco Floor Store supplied and installed two eco-friendly surfaces in this beautiful kitchen renovation in South Surrey, BC: Crush countertops and Marmoleum® floors.
Designed by Diane Moorhouse from SunHouse Designs and built by Harold Koehn Construction, the new kitchen is fresh, charming and eco-friendly. The compact kitchen features timeless shaker cabinets, space saving double wall ovens and a unique built-in wine storage. The homeowner selected the colour pallet for the space, with white as the main colour with cool blue walls and subtle black accents.
Crush Countertops by EcoCrush
Crush countertops are made with 88% recycled content, including post-consumer concrete, rock and glass. The recycled materials are crushed into aggregates and combined with a bio resin binder to create a highly durable surface that is heat and scratch resistant.
In this kitchen, the colour of the countertop is “arctic”. Primarily white, “arctic” includes many pieces of clear glass with some black and grey aggregates.
The homeowner selected Marmoleum® Click for the floors. Marmoleum Click is made with 98% pre-consumer recycled content and doesn’t have any toxic chemicals. It’s highly durable, easy to wash and bacteria resistant – perfect for use in kitchens.
The colour of the Marmoleum is “eternity” . The solid grey floors pair beautifully with the countertops, stainless steel appliances and kitchen hardware.
Thank you to the homeowner and building team for building with green surfaces!
