Commercial space designers have lots to consider when designing a new space.
Traffic flow through the space. Reception desk design. Furniture and seating selection. Lighting placement and style. Branding elements. Visual focal points. And let’s not forget overall design style, colour themes and material selection.
When Wave Dental in White Rock updated their clinic, they wanted to create an inviting, functional and modern space. To achieve two of the three objectives, they turned to April Lacheur at Yapes Paints. By commissioning artwork for their space, they were able to create a beautiful office rooted in their own passion that perfectly fit their design vision.
The team at Wave Dental commissioned a number of paintings for various spaces within the clinic. This allowed them not only to select the ideal size for each space, but also to select the topic of each piece. Trees – one of April’s specialties – was an important focus because of their symbolism of strength, growth and connection.
Commissioned artwork was the perfect choice for this commercial space. Each painting is the visual focal point of its space and adds a little of the owners’ personality to the clinic. April’s artwork is a unique design element that isn’t easily replicated – making this dental clinic an inviting space with beautiful artwork for staff and patients to appreciate.
April Lacheur is a local self-taught artist based in White Rock. Her love affair with trees and all things nature related are the inspiration for her vibrant paintings. Exploding with bold colours, each painting is a unique expression of Mother Nature’s beautiful creations.
