Labour of Love

IDSwest is Vancouver’s interior design event of the year. With so many amazing exhibitors at the show, the pressure is on to make sure to design and build a great booth that will effectively (and memorably!) showcase our eco-friendly surface solutions.

This year, the theme for our booth is the Eco Surfaces Gallery. Our goal was to make it look and feel like an art gallery where you can slowly visit each exhibit and gaze at the art – in this case, our surface solutions. Drum roll…

First we started with an eco-friendly laminate floor. Made with a recycled wood core, this German-made laminate flooring in “bedrock oak” is a subtle and elegant base for our gallery.

Next, we added four large columns that we custom built at our showroom in Surrey. On every side of each column, we installed one of our surface solutions – 14 different ones. The gallery features cork wall surfaces, Finium FriendlyWall, Stikwoodnatural stone veneers, olli panels and more!

We also custom built two sofa tables that we made from a salvaged wood beam we purchased from an old warehouse that was being demolished in Vancouver.

On one table you’ll find art by Yapes Paints and on the other our eco crush countertops.
